Recently at Criteria Studios legendary songwriter/performer BOB DYLAN cut tracks for his upcoming release on Colombia Records. An industry heavy in his own right, Daniel Lanois produced the project. California based Mark Howard was the man at the vintage NEVE 8078. They were assisted by Criteria staffer Chris Carroll. Also at Criteria, Mexican vocalist Juan Gabriel finished vocals and began mixing his next offering. Splitting production chores with Gabriel was Vavy Lozano. The 48-track dates found engineer Eric Schilling and assistant Chris Spahr at either end of the mammoth SSL4096G+. BlueLion entertainment wrapped up mixes for Trinidadian artist SuperBlue. Superblue produced with Ron Taylor and Patrice Levinsohn engineering. They were assisted by Chris "scooby" Spahr. Simon & Schuster books on tape division recently stopped by with author Stedman Graham (Mr. Oprah Winfrey...) to complete excerpts from his recently published book. Keith Rose engineered with assistance from Kieran Wagner. Canes Records’ El Duende finally completed their label debut. Producer/engineer Mike Couzzi celebrated the end of the marathon. North Florida based GROAN continued cutting tracks with engineer producer Mark Dobson.
