Currently at Criteria Studios opposite ends of the musical world are overlapping. Colombia/Epic recording artists Corrosion of Conformity are cutting tracks for their next release with Producer John Custer. NYC based engineer Jason Corasro was joined by Criteria staffer Mark Dobson behind the vintage NEVE. At the other end of the spectrum, producer Bebu Silvetti began tracking for world renowned tenor Placido Domingo. Engineer Carlos Nieto handled chores at the console along with assistants Mark Dobson, Chris Spahr and Scott Kieklak. Somewhere in between, producer Humberto Gatica oversaw the completion of strings and vocals for an upcoming Paul Anka tribute LP. Guest artist Julio Iglesias lent his considerable vocal talents to the project. Carlos Alvarez provided additional engineering with assistance from Steve Robillard and Chris Carroll. Vocalist Jose Luis Rodriguez recently began recording his next release at Criteria. Producer Bebu Silvetti joined with engineer Carlos Nieto and assistant Chris "SCOOBY" Spahr. On a local note...work continues on releases from The Goods, Tommy Anthony, El Duende, Purple Mustard and Amanda Green.
