Elektra Records recording artists’ Ziggy Marley & the Melody Makers camped out at Criteria recently. Front man and son of the late great Bob Marley, Ziggy joined forces with the production/engineering combo of Steve Thompson and Mike Barbiero (Blues Traveler, Rollins Band). While tracking in Studio A Marley engineer Errol Brown mixed in a second room. They were assisted by Chris Carroll and Scott Kieklak. Argentine pianist Raul Di Blasio began tracks for his upcoming BMG release. The 48-track digital dates were produced by Di Blasio with engineering from Joel Numa, Eric Schilling and Mike Couzzi. They were assisted by Steve Robillard and Chris Carroll. Miami based vocalist Carlos Abaca was recently finishing up mixes with producer Hector Maselli. Engineer Victor Di Persia was joined by Steve Robillard behind the board. Mexican vocalist Manolo Tena completed final mixes for his next release on Sony Music International (Spain). Tena joined forces with producer Eddy Martinez and engineer Mike Couzzi. They were assisted by Mark Dobson. Longtime Criteria client and producer Ramon Arcusa, began work for his own project. His alter-ego is one half of the Spanish pop group Duo Dianmico. Keith Rose and Carlos Alvarez engineered the sessions.
