This month at Criteria Studios, chart topping Japaneese act ULFULS wrapped up the mixes for their new disc for Toshiba/EMI. The project was largely self produced with some help from Jiro Koyasu and engineer Tom Durack. They were assisted by P. Mark Dobson. 70’s disco icon KC (of Sunshine Band fame), recently completed a several remakes for the Old El Paso line of foods. Harry Casey produced with engineer JT Thomas pushing the buttons. Work continued on the next offering from Sony Discos’ Luis Enrique. The percussionist joined producer R. Edy Martinez and engineer Mike Couzzi behind the board. They were assisted by staffer Chris "Scooby" Spahr. Multiplatinum veterans AEROSMITH continued work on their forthcoming record for Colombia. Grammy darling Glen Ballard oversaw both Criteria’s vintage Neve 8078 and SSL 4096G+ rooms. Chris Fogel and Francis Buckley split the engineering duties. They were assisted by Keith Rose, Chris Carroll, Shad T. Scott and Paul Gordon. On a local note, work continued on the following projects...
