This month at Criteria Studios, metal masters OBITUARY started tracking on their upcoming fourth release. Producer/engineer Jamie Locke pushed the buttons for the Roadrunner Records project. They were assisted by Chris "Scooby" Spahr. French vocalist "Johnny Hallyday" recently began mixes for an upcoming live record and home video release on Mercury France. Veteran rock man Chris Kimsey (Rolling Stones et al) oversaw the endeavor. Utilizing three rooms simultaneously, the video mixdown saw engineers Kevin Jacobs, Jon Astley and David Nicholas in action. Criteria staffers Keith Rose, Mark Dobson and Steve Robillard lent assistance. Miami resident and Polygram recording artist "SORAYA" just finished up cutting some new tracks. The vintage Neve/Dolby SR dates were engineered by Eric Schilling with Keith Rose assisting.
