Recently at Criteria Recording Studios in Miami Florida, SOUL ASYLUM wrapped up production for their next release on Columbia Records. While engineer Keith Rose (Foreigner,Yngwie Malmsteen) finished overdubs in the Neve room, mixer Michael Barbiero (Blues Traveler, Ziggy Marley) toiled in the big SSL G+ room. Producer Chris Kimsey oversaw both. On a more literary note, syndicated columnist Dave Barry joined Warren Zevon on a project for Don’t Quit Your Day Job Records. Producer Kathi Goldmark and engineer Ted Stein rounded out the bodies in the control room. Cuban Trumpeter Arturo Sandoval recently completed mixes for his upcoming offering on N2K Encoded Music. The 48 track digital project was mixed by engineer Eric Schilling with some assistance from Chris Spahr.) Sony Music artist Julio Iglesias resumed work on a Greatest Hits project. After a grueling tour schedule, Iglesias enlisted the assistance of LA based producer Albert Hammond for several tracks. Longtime engineer Carlos Alvarez joined assistant Chris Spahr behind the board. Venezuelan vocalist Jose Luis Rodriguez recently finished up an LP for Sony Music Intl. Producer Edy Martinez and engineer Mike Couzzi completed the project with assistance from Lisandra "Luly" Deya. MCA recording artist Aaron Hall continued work on his next offering in Criteria’s new Legacy room. Jersey based producer/writer Joe Wilson lent some guidance. Ken Lewis engineered and was assisted Alfred Boscoe.
