At Criteria Recording Studios in Miami Florida, NFL FILMS recently completed strings sessions for their upcoming production of "BIG GAME AMERICA: THE ROAD TO THE SUPERBOWL". The strings were produced by Tom Hedin and engineered by Jerry Mahler. They were assisted by Keith Rose and Scott Kieklak. Also in Criteria’s Augspurger/Neve/Studer room, RMM Records cut tracks for a live Latin Jazz LP. The project, titled "Super Cuban ALLSTARS", includes many of the islands’ greats. Recorded before a live audience, the project was also filmed for later release. Producer Juan Pablo Torres joined engineer Jon Fausti and assistants Chris Carroll, Scott Kieklak and Paul Gordon. Brazilian vocalist Simone, recently completed her next album for Sony Music International. Noted producer Bebu Selveti oversaw the 48 track digital project, while engineer Carlos Nieto and assistant P. Mark Dobson slaved behind the 4096G+. Miami based writer/arranger/producer Roberto Livi recently began work ontracks for Polygram recording artist Dyango. Engineer Mike Couzzi teamed with Criteria staffer Chris Carroll for the dates. Also South Florida recording artists’ MUSE (now with LAVA/ATLANTIC), El Duende, The Miami Mass Choir and Roberto Perera all spent some time at Criteria recently.
